Shelf Control
Shelf Control is integrated with PrismTM software and
is launched from
within that application. Once launched, Alloken will use our mathematical
algorithms to automatically determine where all your course textbooks belong
on your shelves, and let you easily make adjustments due to late adoptions or
course changes. You can use Shelf Control to map out your shelf tags before hanging
them and you will know where the books go before you print your tags.
-
- Shelf Control optimizes space
- of allocations and the location of textbooks in
your store. Using Shelf Control, your store will have a Shelf Plan and no longer need
to layout tags before the books arrive.
-
- Shelf Control saves labor
- by eliminating the need to layout tags before books arrive
and by minimizing the difficulty in adding books after the plan has been run. If a
requisition header has been created and yet the professor has not adopted a book,
Shelf Control will estimate space needed and include that space in your plan.
-
- Shelf Control improves customer service
- by mapping the location of each course
and helping students go straight to their books. Books are laid out in a uniform manner
making the shelves easier to understand for your students.
To get started, we will need your current term data from your Prism software.
If you have already sent the data, continue by
customizing your request.
If you need more information on how to use or navigate through Prism to begin using Shelf Control,
start by reading the Prism instructions.
First time users are permitted unlimited use of Shelf Control for 6 months for an
introductory fee of $650. Renewal after the trial period is $1.50 per linear
foot of textbook shelving in your store per year.
Prism trademarks are owned by Nebraska Book Company.
