Getting Started

To download and run Cart Control you must first creat an account or login if you already have a Cart Control account. Upon successful login you need to click the "Download & Activate" link from the Download and Subscribe page.

The following window will appear:

Click the "Save" button. Choose the folder location to save the CartControl download. This action may be anywhere you choose.

Click the "Save" button. The following window will appear while the download file is being saved to your computer.

Once the download is complete you will have a file named "Setup.msi"  in the location you saved the file. Open "my computer" from the "Start" menu on you task bar and navigate to the folder location you indicated in the "Save as" step above. Double-click the Set Up icon or file in this folder to start the Cart Control install process. The following window will appear.

Click the "Run" button. The Cart Control Setup Wizard will display the following four windows. Complete the wizard steps as indicated in the next four windows. 

Once the setup is completed you need to run the Cart Control application. To do this either click the Cart Control shortcut on your desktop or select Cart Control from your program menu (Start > All Programs > Cart Control). Once the program is launched you will see the login window as follows.

Enter the username and password you used to register Cart Control then click the "SUBMIT" button.

After the Cart Control application has verified your registration you will see the Cart Control application window.

There are three tabs in the Cart Control application. You must complete the first 2 tabs before using the third to build your shopping cart on Amazon. 

The first tab, "Load", is where you enter the text, price, and quantity information for each text you wish to shop for on Amazon.

The second tab, "Preferences", is where you specify search criteria for your text shopping.

The third tab, "Build Cart", is where you build the Amazon Cart.

Once each cart is completed you will be redirected to the Amazon web site to complete the purchase via your Amazon account.

The following screen images include some specific notes on how Cart Control works.

Under the "Load" tab, select "Manual Insert" for individual text information entry or "Import File" to upload a CSV file for bulk text list processing.

Upon completion of entering your Shopping list, select the "Preferences" tab. 

The Cart Size number you enter is the number of items (one title = one item) that will be placed in a single cart. Amazon's web site varies how large of a cart it can handle depending on various factors including taffic load. Alloken recommends you keep your cart size to less than 50 items. Another factor regarding cart size is the purchasing process of your credit card company. Due to fraud alerts, some credit card companies may not allow you to purchase a large number of individual items in bulk. Contact your credit card company if you experience problems.

The Stop Words is a list of words Cart Control will search for in item descriptions. If any of the words are found Cart Control will not include that item in the cart. For example, if "water damage" is in the stop word list and an item description contains "water damage" that item will not be included in the cart.

Upon complete of the Preferences and load tabs select the Build Cart tab.

If you have NOT completed all the Load and Preference tab requirements there will be Red colored circles next to some or all of the 4 items at the top of the Build Cart window. You MUST have all green 4 colored circles before being able to build your carts. Simply go back to the load and Preferences tab and complete the input boxes on those tabs then return to the Build Cart tab.

Once you have all four green circles at the top of the Build Cart window you are ready to build the cart(s). To do so click the "Build Cart" button - ONCE.

The Cart Control application will display one or more "Amazon Cart Link" items. Each represents a list of items up to the number you set in the cart size field under preferences. When you click the "Amazon Cart Link" you will add the list to your shopping cart on Amazon and then be redirected to the Amazon web site. This may take up to a minute - ONLY CLICK THE Amazon Cart Link ONCE. When the Amazon web site appears in your browser - process the shopping cart there, then come back to Cart Control and click the next Amazon Cart Link in the Cart URL list. If you try to create and process more than one cart at a time Amazon's site may not display the correct status of your shopping cart.

Again - Alloken recommends you click, process, and purchase one Amazon Cart Link at a time.
