To download visit our Download Center.
How do I install Cart Control?
Upon download you will be asked "Do you want to run or save this file?"
Click the "Save" button and choose where you would
like to save the Setup file. Depending on your internet connection,
this may take a few minutes to download.
After downloading you will have a setup.msi (Windows Installer Package) file
in the location you specified upon download. Execute this file by double clicking it
to open it. When it launches it will launch an installation wizard. Tell the wizard
where you wish to install Cart Control and the application will be installed.
How do I launch Cart Control?
After installation, you will have a CartControl shortcut available under your "All Programs"
directory off of your Start Menu. A CartControl shortcut will also appear on your desktop. Open
this to execute and start Cart Control. You will be prompted for a username and password.
Use your username and password that you used to register and download Cart Control.
How do I update Cart Control?
If you have already installed Cart Control once, but wish to install a newer version,
follow these instructions.
- Uninstall Cart Control. Open the Control Panel in Windows and click "Add or Remove Programs".
- You should see in the list of currently installed programs "Cart Control". Click it. Now a button will appear, click Remove. This will uninstall Cart Control.
- Now you need to download the newest copy of Cart Control. Visit the product page. You may be asked to log in. Then you'll be redirected to the page to download Cart Control.
- Now click the link "Download and Activate Trial Now". This will download a file called "Setup.msi" which is the installation file you should run to install Cart Control. Run it and install.
- Now when you launch Cart Control you should be asked for your user credentials again. Once you have logged in, Cart Control will be updated and launched.
What do I get with the purchase of a license for Cart
Control?
Cart Control is licensed software. We charge a
license fee that includes the use of the software for
all users registered on your account. The software builds
shopping carts of used books for bulk purchasing. It allows you to upload a file with your
complete shopping list which we then scan and find books to meet your needs from Amazon.com and Half.com.
How is my account activated?
You may download the Cart Control Software from www.alloken.com. Occasionally we may release
updates and they will also be posted here.
Within 24 hours of your credit card approval we will activate Cart Control for full access.
We will email you via your account email address to notify you when this has been completed.
To run Cart Control use the email and password created to purchase your subscription to login
into Cart Control.

How do I purchase the books now that you have found them for me?
Once your carts have been built, you must continue to Amazon.com or Half.com to purchase your books by clicking the Cart Link
from within Cart Control.
Amazon.com allows purchase of books via several methods including credit cards, gift
certificates, and purchase orders (via a corporate account).
An important thing to know is that credit card
fraud detection will cancel a large number of orders that occur in a single day. Because each used reseller will count
as a separate sale (on Amazon, Half, & AbeBooks) this may mean that a single cart of 49 items may trigger your credit card
company's fraud alert system. Contact your credit card company for more information on their policy of
online purchases and fraudulent purchases before making a large number of purchases.
The recommended payment method is to use a corporate account along with purchase orders.

Who do I pay for the books ordered?
Books ordered using Cart Control are ordered directly from the affiliate retailer, so you must pay the retailer for
all books ordered.
Can I return books purchased using Cart Control?
In most cases they allow
returns if the book is damaged or not what you ordered if you activate a return within 30 days
of receiving it. However, this policy may change at any time, so please refer to the retailers website before placing
any orders.
What is the maximum price?
On the load tab of Cart Control you will have the option to set the maximum
price you are willing to spend for each title. Books purchased through our affiliates are
non-returnable just like books purchased from students at buyback.
For this reason, Alloken suggest a max price set at your normal buyback
price minus the standard Amazon shipping price of $3.99.
For example: If a book sells new in your store for $100 and
you pay 50% at buyback, your max price for Cart Control would
be (100x.5) – 3.99 = $46.01
